We’ll keep this simple. Here are 6 things you should be doing to have healthier, sexier looking skin.

Up your water intake

Water is key. Water as most of us know is vital for many functions within the body, including keeping our skin well hydrated. When we intake the right amounts of water our skin will feel tighter and will look and feel clearer.

Stop eating junk food

Does your body feel like crap when it’s constantly eating processed foods? Chances are your digestive system isn’t functioning as well as it could be leading to potential gut issues which in turn can impact your skin. There is some research that shows poor diets can lead to breakouts, acne, oily skin, and potentially duller less vibrant skin tones. So it’s important to eat vegetables, lean meats, and good fats packed with omega 3’s.

Keep your stress in check

Stress can cause a range of issues within the body including making your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts as well as other skin problems. This means it’s important to keep a healthy mind. Take steps to ensure you are getting enough sleep, peel back the workload, and set reasonable limits. Also, meditate to help relax the mind and make time to do things you enjoy and can help you unwind.

Improve air quality

This might be challenging depending on where you live but trying to avoid smog-ridden environments can be beneficial for your skin. Most big cities have high levels of smog, dirt, and pollution in the air. All of those things land on your skin daily clogging up pores and depositing a bunch of bad crap on and in your skin. One thing to help with better air quality is an air purifier, running one in your room can help remove a lot of the impurities from the air and lead to better air quality and better health overall.

Get a full night’s sleep

People underestimate the importance of sleep. Sleep is vital in helping the body repair and recover. Research shows that a lack of sleep leads to elevated levels of cortisol and adrenaline in the blood which over time can lead to skin problems including acne breakouts. So for all you bro’s out there sleep isn’t just important to help you recover from that sick chest workout you did, but also helps keep your skin looking sexy AF.

Simple skincare routine

Last but not least have a skincare routine in place. All the things above are definitely the foundations of having great skin, without those most skincare routines will not deliver the results you want. However, with all the above in place, it’s important to have a good and simple skincare routine. This is important for a couple of reasons. One, using too many products can be harsh and irritate your skin. Two, if your routine is too complicated and time consuming let’s be honest you ain’t doing it. So keep it simple, easy and quick, preferably all-natural!
